Tiramisu Cake Roll Recipe

For Cake:

  • 3 Large Eggs
  • 3/4 Cup of Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon of Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon of Baking Powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
  • 3/4 Cup of All-purpose Flour
  • Powdered Sugar to Aid in Rolling

For Filling:

  • 4 Ounces Softened Cream Cheese
  • 2/3 Cup of Powdered Sugar
  • 3/4 Cup of Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Tablespoons of Brewed Cold Coffee

For Topping:

  • 1 Cup of Cold Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/4 Cup of Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract


  • Baking Sheets
  • Large-sized Bowl
  • 10 x 15 Inch Jelly Roll Pan
  • Electric Mixer
  • Plastic Wrap
  • Baking Brush
  • Spatula
  • Foil

Preparation Instructions

For Cake:

  1. First of all, preheat your microwave to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In the meantime, grease the jelly roll pan evenly using the baking brush, then line the pan with foil.
  3. Now, add the eggs along with granulated sugar into a large bowl and beat it with an electric mixer at medium speed for 5-6 minutes to get a thickened mixture.
  4. Then, add the vegetable oil, baking powder, salt, vanilla, along with all-purpose flour into this mixture and mix them slowly until combined.
  5. Now, pour this batter into the pan and spread it evenly using a spatula.
  6. Put the pan into the oven and bake it 12-15 minutes or until the cake looks golden and spongy when touched.
  7. While the cake is in the baking process, spread the foil onto a plain, smooth surface and sprinkle powdered sugar, evenly on it.
  8. Now, take out the baked cake from the microwave carefully, using the oven gloves.
  9. Flip the cake onto the foil, thereafter remove the pan and its foil properly.
  10. Once it’s done, roll the cake using the foil. (Do note that foil also get folded along with the cake)
  11. Leave it for 20-30 minutes.

For Filling

  1. In the meantime, add softened cream cheese and powdered sugar into a bowl and beat it with an electric mixer.
  2. When your cake cools down, unwrap it carefully.
  3. Then, apply the brewed cold coffee onto the cake using the brush and spread an even layer of filling over the cake.
  4. Thereafter, re-roll the cake and cover it with a plastic wrap. Put it into the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.

For Toppings

  1. In the meantime, add whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract into a bowl and beat them with the electric mixer until the peak stands straight up.
  2. Now, take out the cake from the refrigerator and uncover the plastic wrap.
  3. Frost the cake and sprinkle cocoa powder before serving.

Cooking Note:

You can preserve the unfrosted cake into the refrigerator with a plastic wrap for up to one month.
